Renault has renewed its contract with Dacolt for hosting of its custom software packages to create CFD look-up tables for the ECFM-CLEH combustion model, for a period of two years.

The ECFM-CLEH combustion model makes use of complex chemistry data to describe auto-ignition, flame propagation, heat release rate and the formation of pollutant species. This data is computed a priori and stored in CFD look-up tables, which are read by the CFD code when starting a new CFD simulation.

Dacolt is supporting Renault in the continued development and exploitation of the ECFM-CLEH model in the context of ICE CFD simulations. Dacolt also provides a hosting service to Renault to make the creation of ECFM-CLEH look-up tables accessible to multiple users, who may be working in different locations, via the Internet. Renault has renewed its contract with Dacolt for this hosting service, for a period of two years.
