Dacolt has successfully introduced its new name at the 2009 European Automotive Simulation Conference, organised by ANSYS®, Inc.

The Ansys EASC is the follow-up concept of the bi-annual Fluent EACC conference series, but extended to all aspects of engineering simulation.

BMW presented an excellent overview of their application of advanced combustion models in Ansys CFD software for spark-ignition engine simulation. Also from Ansys presentations, it is clear that ICE modelling is still very high on the Ansys agenda.

The effect of the ongoing economic crisis was clearly visible in the number of attendants. Nevertheless, it was a great opportunity to meet many interesting people and with a wonderful social event at BMW Welt.
