Available combustion tools from Dacolt
Dacolt PSR
Dacolt PSR (Perfectly Stirred, or homogeneous, Reactor) can be applied for modelling transient phenomena such as pollutant formation or auto-ignition in internal combustion engines.
The image on the right illustrates a two-stage ignition process for n-heptane fuel, with the normalised profiles of temperature and mole fraction of the species H2O2. Run a demo of Dacolt PSR directly on our website!
Dacolt Equilibrium
Dacolt Equilibrium can be applied for modelling various infinitely fast phenomena such as heat release in industrial burners.
The image on the right illustrates the equilibrium temperature as function of mixture fraction, for methane fuel and an oxidiser consisting in standard air with various levels of oxygen addition.
Computational technologies
Dacolt combustion tools include:
- Thermochemistry based on the Open Source package Cantera
- In-house numerics and data processing
